Sig p365 slide release hard to push
If I use my left thumb to push the takedown lever to 6:30-7, then I can pull the slide back to remove it. if I don't hold the takedown lever forward, the slide stays locked. I can alternatively push the slide lock button down and remove the slide. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. Can't insert a mag, can't pull trigger fully. Oddly, if the lever in the 7 o'clock position and I pull the trigger, the lever rotates to 5 o'clock.

Although for me the issue was the sear was blocking the take down lever from going back in. So you may have to push down on the top of it to move it out the way. On a closed slide I just "push with speed" and apply pressure as necessary to seat the mag.
