The serial number range for the Stevens model 520-30 military shotguns is from 30,000-70,000.As to the year of manufacture you will probably have to contact Savage/Stevens directly.the "P" prefix to the serial number does not signify year of manufacture. The date code will be a letter in a circle with one or two numbers located between the trigger guard and the hinge pin on the bottom of the frame. The date codes were used between 1949 and 1971 and are as follows: A = 1949, B = -1950, C = 1951, etc.
